Marketplace rules
These proposed beta rules create one clear record for owners and renters. They must be reviewed by qualified counsel before Mine2Yours activates payments or represents them as final legal terms.
Transparent pricing
The total rental price, refundable deposit, and any platform fee must be shown before a renter confirms. Payments are not active during beta.
Cancellations
More than 24 hours before pickup: full rental-price refund. Within 24 hours: the owner may retain up to 50% of the rental price. Owner cancellations receive a full refund.
Late returns
A late return may be charged at the item’s daily rate for each additional 24-hour period. Owners must document the scheduled and actual return times.
Condition evidence
Both parties should photograph the item and included accessories at pickup and return. Time-stamped reports become part of the rental record.
Damage and loss
A renter may be responsible for documented repair cost or fair replacement value, excluding ordinary wear. Deposits are not automatically forfeited.
Disputes
Either party may report damage, missing parts, a no-show, or a late return. Funds should remain on hold until evidence is reviewed once payments are enabled.
Prohibited items
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives, and weapons
- Illegal drugs, controlled substances, and prescription medication
- Stolen, counterfeit, recalled, or unlawfully obtained property
- Hazardous chemicals, regulated waste, and unsafe materials
- Items requiring a license the owner or renter does not possess
- Anything prohibited by federal, state, tribal, or local law
