Marketplace rules
These proposed beta rules create one clear record for owners and renters. They must be reviewed by qualified counsel before Mine2Yours activates payments or represents them as final legal terms.
Transparent pricing
The total rental price, refundable security deposit, service fee, and processing fee are shown before a renter confirms.
Cancellations
Renter refunds follow the policy and payment option shown before checkout. Owner cancellations give the renter a full refund; any Stripe processing cost that is not returned is deducted from the owner’s future payouts unless Mine2Yours approves an exception.
Late returns
When disclosed and accepted, a late-return policy includes a 30-minute grace period and proportional daily-equivalent fee capped per 24 hours. Owners must document actual return time; charges require evidence review. Missing check-in alone does not create a fee.
Condition evidence
Both parties should photograph the item and included accessories at pickup and return. Time-stamped reports become part of the rental record.
Damage and loss
The deposit is applied first to an approved claim, but it is not the renter’s maximum responsibility. Charges remain limited to documented loss or recorded replacement value, excluding ordinary wear.
Owner asset responsibility
Owners decide whether to rent an item or space, disclose its condition and risks, maintain it for the stated use, and confirm any insurance coverage. Mine2Yours does not insure property or guarantee recovery beyond amounts actually collected.
Claims and disputes
Owners must report damage or loss within 24 hours of the return condition report. Deposit release and payout pause while evidence and the renter’s response are reviewed.
Prohibited items
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives, and weapons
- Illegal drugs, controlled substances, and prescription medication
- Stolen, counterfeit, recalled, or unlawfully obtained property
- Hazardous chemicals, regulated waste, and unsafe materials
- Items requiring a license the owner or renter does not possess
- Anything prohibited by federal, state, tribal, or local law
